Should I revert to a virgin wii for peace of mind?

I recently softmodded my wii though a tutorial on youtube. Seems like the files are outdated. (cIOS is at rev10, cIOScorp is at 1.01, did not downgrade my firmware[or at least I don't think-system menu still says 4.0u].. blah blah blah.) Should I make my wii a virgin again and softmod my wii again?

Will use this tutorial to revert to virgin state and will use this tutorial to softmod wii.

EDIT: Im asking because I just downloaded Guitar Hero Metallica and I am having some problems with it. It will load through the intro but if i go to career mode, for example, it will attempt to load and an error message comes up saying "This Game disc could not be read." I burnt this game through Imgburn at 4x speed using Maxell DVD-R.

Chances are your burn isn't good.
You can install the latest cIOS when you have the homebrew channel so there's no point in reverting.

OK will do that first. How would I upgrade cIOS to rev13b and cIOScorp to v2? Do I just run the dol's through homebrew and it would overwrite the existing files?

cioscorp is crap. Just install rev13b using the installer you can find anywhere. And then install a backup launcher and boot your games through it. Ignore cioscorp.

No need to try to roll-back your Wii.
