    homebrew channel black screen?

    Hey all,

My wii has system menu 3.4e and i just used the twilight hack to install the homebrew channel.

So now i have followed this guide to downgrade it to 3.2e
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...e-guide-2.html

and after finishing step 7 with no issues, i restarted the wii and now whenever i load the homebrew channel it does nothing but sits on a black screen.

i decided to remove the homebrew channel through the system menu and retry the twilight hack, but the freshly installed homebrew channel is still black.
my system menu still shows as 3.4e

as far as i know its not bricked/semi bricked, as i can still use the system menu and other channels and even play games

can anyone help me with this?

I have the same issue wii version is 3.4u. I have reinstalled homebrew channel several times but it still locks up (black screen) before loading the SD card.

The problem started for me after tying to downgrade to 3.2.

Perhaps it is the version of the Homebrew Channel getting this error, the newest one (v1.0.3) has had many reports of this happening that is why it is recommended that you use Homebrew Channel v1.0.1

if you have system 3.2 it should have the +trucha version. if ur ios's dont have the trucha bug i think it fails to install. you dont need to update your channels unless you use them of course :P otherwise i think nintendo requires you to update them. what wiiscu does is update them for you, without touching the system menu
