    Question Error -2011

Hi I'm trying to install cIOS38 REV 13 on me wii and everything seems to install fine until it get to custom IOS install and I get an ERROR 2011 message, after that is says Installation finished and hit any button to restart wii. I'm not sure if it's safe to move on to the next steps in the guide I'm using here . If anybody can help me with this I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

The error suggests it's unable to install because you have no cIOS on your system.

Here's a different tutorial to get cIOS on your system

It's not working.. When I try running the cIOS38_rev13b-Installer I get ERROR! (ret=-116). And when I try to run the IOS downgrader I get the same Error message.

First you should no try to skip steps if one does not work. If the cIOS38 REV 13 did not install, I am very confused as to why you would move on and attempt the IOS downgrader- that is just like it could be bad idea.

So when you run cIOS38 REV 13, at what point in the install do you receive the error.

Ok actually I got the cIOS38_rev13 file to install successfully somehow, but I'm still getting the ERROR! (ret=-116) on the IOS Downgrader and now I just started an Exeption (DSI) occured message when I run the downgrader or the homebrew browser. Tell you the truth I skipped steps because I'm following guides step by step and I'm not sure if I'm doing things right or not, obviously I'm not. Is their anyway to undo anything I did and start again from scratch ?

    ^^ niiice.

Also, if you have cios38rev13b installed you *should* be good to go on backup games. Ignore the rest.

LOL.... What can I tell you, I've been at this all day and it's driving me F'n crazy. Xbox 360 is way easier to softmod and you gotta actually open that sum bytch up! Anyway, I have not tried any backups yet but I will as soon as I learn how to backup a wii game lol. BTW, if I try and play a regular (non-backup) wii game and it tells me I need to update the system what do I do ?

You run it through a backup channel/launcher. And it'll bypass that.

I'm honestly waay to lazy to see if you're planning on using USB or DVD-R. If you're using USB, just run any of the USB loaders with your HD plugged in, and click the '+' to add the game to your HD.

If you're using discs... well then ya.. just burn your backed up ISO to a disc. Then launch it with a channel.

Just google 'neogamma' and download it, put it in your apps folder, and launch it through the HBC. Stick your backed up, OR retail disc that you wont want to update in, and see what happens.
