    Update Homebrew

    Is it safe to do this, I only installed it last week 13.06.09 & it asked me straight away to update, can i without harming my ability to play backups etc?http://www.wiihacks.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

    When you say Homebrew do you mean Homebrew Channel?

    Maybe you installed an older version of HBC if that's the case. Latest is 1.0.3 which also includes the hackmii installer and bootmii.

    I have the orginial HBC on my machine and it asked me to update as well. I only installed the DVDX part as I am not sure how reliable the update is for the newHBC, what are the new features and what happens if this does not install properly? Thanks.

    If you're worried - don't. There's no need to update to the latest. The golden rule of wii softmod'ing is "If it aint broke.. "

    The version is have is 1.0.1 & its asking me to upgrade to 1.0.3
    Any difference?

    If there is, it's none that I'm aware of. It's going to look the same and act the same. It's not going to run anything it wont run now. Really, you're solid.

    You *should* be a-ok to update thought if you can't resist. I have seen threads where people say they updated and their house caught on fire and crazy shit happened. But people tend to be idiots too.

    The new homebrew 1.0.3 can cause problems.... it did to my friends wii and i had to re-install homebrew 1.0.1 S

    This time i made sure....
