    Problem installing cios249 with dvdx

    Hi guys,

I softmodded my wii sucsesfully with no problems, I brought my wii about 6 weeks ago.

Have tried to do my friends which he had had for 2 years or so and sucsesfully installed homebrew channel with bootmii, installed rev7 no problems until I tried to install dvdx in advance and cios249 was not coming up, there were a bunch of other numbers but not 249. Obviously loading a iso dvd-r with burned game was coming up with dvdr error and asking to install patchmii, which as far as I know I installed it twice to be sure and it still refused to load a burned game.

I installed gamma back up loader 3.3 I think and the games were not loading and coming up with above error.

Any solutions to this? Would be really grateful

Mine worked fine and gave me the option to install 249 in advanced first off and is all fine on mine. Are there any issues with this on older wii's?

I know he has all the latest updates on his wii.

Almost forgot to add, back up loader when failing to load game come up with "no cios"

Well I am going to give it another try tomorrow. My friend told me he realized he had not updated so that could of been why. I will try installing under 202 and see if it comes up as an option.
