    Hermes cios222 installer failed (-1017)

    hi there,

    i have a problem installing cios222.

    i have a 4.0U system, cios38 rev13/13b and GX running.
everything works fine with "one" hdd. i want to use my other hdd but the cios38 revs x-13b dont recognize that HDD. so i want to try cios222. but there is the problem, it doesnt install. see my screenshot for the error.

with anytitledeleter i can see the ios249,222,254,...
when itry to delete 249 or 222 it gives me an error, so it cant be deleted at all. the only thing that works for 249 is waninokos cios unistaller. when i run anytitledeleter again 249 is gone, but 222 is still there and i cant delete it. i thought deleting it might solve my problem, but i cant :/

btw, i had 3.4U w/ HBC then i updated via WIFI to 4.0U and used CMDVDX34 to downgrade ios35 to install a cios at all.
but in cmdvdx34 there is an "specific" order....1st i had to run the downgrader, 2nd run patchmii and 3rd run dvdx....of course i only need the downgrader, but i ran patchmii too...it went through an installation and dvdx didnt want to install, but i dont care about that, cuz i dont need that.

soooo, could it be, that patchmii installed something (ios222, 254, etc....) and the cios222 installer cant installl its 222 because there is alrdy a 222? if so, how can i get rid of the previous 222 then? the patchmii docu said its only for ios249...no word about 222...hmmm....so maybe it has nothing to do with it at all...i dont know.

any suggestions how to solve my cios222 problem?

    TIA

I found this in another forum about Hermes 222, "Make sure any 00000001 directories have been deleted from the root of the SD card before starting or the cIOS install will most probably fail"

    Hope this helps.

i would say that could be the problem

Hermes cios222 installer has a 00000001 folder that goes into the root of your SD card

well i tried also the offline version...there is such a folder...and as u can see in the screenshot, it downloads files from the SD card (the 000000001 folder)

    problem solved....

i downgraded to 3.2U and then again to 4.0U, was using one of the tuts here.

i bet something was wrong with one of the IOS this installer was using. same goes for ATD, because after i downgraded the IOS i could use ATD finally.
