Has anyone tried MAME on Wii ?

I have all the other emus and they're ok to play for the first few minutes. But after I lose the first time, I automatically go for something else immediately. I'm wondering if anyone has tried putting MAME and roms together and get them to work on Wii.... That would be great. The only thing I'm wondering is, can the Wii handle the graphics ?

It really depends on how you obtain the roms. If you own an actual arcade machine, or even one of those joysticks that capcom released at one point which had a whole bunch of games (which they packaged with mame).

In that case you own the games... and nothing illegal about that.

But back on topic, im not sure if there is a mame emu for the Wii, perhaps someone else can shed some light on this....

    Smile It can be done.........

Since I successfully hacked my Wii, I have been trying to get different emulators to work. I have got the NES (FCE Ultra GX), SNES (Snes9X), and Game Boy Advanced (VBA 172 Wii Unofficial).

I am currently working on SDLMame. To get full download click here RapidShare: Easy Filehosting

Next: go to MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service and download the rest.

I have the first portion on the sd card and some roms on the sd card and it shows up on the homebrew channel. I pull it up and hit load. It goes to the boot up screen. Then it says loading complete then goes to initializing. This takes a few minutes so be patient if you are trying this yourself. After that completes you should see a list of games to choose from. This is the part where I get stuck. My controller for the Wii will not stay on or let me select anything on the list. I tried it with the nunchuck plugged in and also with the classic controller and nothing seemed to work.

If anyone knows a work around or a sugestion please let me know and thank you in advance.
