best way to protect your from bricking?

Hello,
I got system menu 3.2E and homebrew installed and I am trying to find the best way to prevent my wii from bricking. I have been reading and I found 2 programs : starfall and bootmii. Wich is the best? or does anyone know a better way?

Install both. Starfall can be set up to not allow system updates from games. Also if you were to brick your wii, you can enter starfall by plugging in the gamecube controller and holding a button on the controller when you power the wii on (not sure which button though). Bootmii though its still a beta 2 release, I have it installed and it works fine. Bootmii is good if you install a bad wad file and banner/icon brick your wii. Just remember that not all sd cards work with bootmii and also use a seperate sd card just for bootmii. Another program you can install ( i dont have this installed) is preloader. I dont know much about preloader though but if you install all 3 of those programs, youll be easily 100% brick proof.

If you can install bootmii to boot2 then your wii is pretty much brick proof if you do a nand backup. I recommend preloader over starfall as second best brick protection, you can't have them both installed but preloader does everything that starfall does and more

And can I have preloader and bootmii istalled or isn't that necessary?

yes you can - and preloader has useful hacks that bootmii doesnt so it is worth doing...

Is there a tutorial for this? And what did you mean "If you can install bootmii to boot2"? How do we know if we can or can't?

I would like to get my wii to be "pretty much brick proof!"

just try to install it...it will tell you whether you can install to boot2 or just as an ios. If you can install as boot2, make a nand backup. job done.

does anyone know a tutorial to install bootmii and preloader because I am a newbie to wiihacking or is the installation easy?
I read somewhere that you can make a backup of your NAND with bootmii, can I copy this backup from my SD to a computer or is that impossible?

hello,i'm new at this and i've tried to install bannerbomb&bootmii on my wii couldn't get to work got and older wii but it downloaded 4.0u without my knowledge please help
