Question Do i have to format my USB HDD again

Don't know if anyone can help me or done the same as me.When i got my 500G HDD i partitioned 1 half and formatted it to FAT32 and left the rest unformatted and plug it into the wii and let usb loader format the empty partition. Now i have 34 games on it using 7.4 loader. Most games from dvd-r.What I would like to know is can i use the wbfs manager on my laptop without having to format the HDD again. Thanks if anyone can help me

You won't need to re-format you HD to use WBFS manger, I used USB loader 1.1 to format my HD initially and had no issues with WBFS manger locating it. Just be careful when in WBFS manager, the format button is very easy to hit!

make sure the fat32 partition used to format to wbfs is a primary partition, and all others are logical

    lucky,

I'm using WBFS Manager 2.5 by AlexDP. Looks like 3.0 is the newest version available.

A google search for WBFS "error 17" showed someone else having issues with that error, but doesn't look like it's been resolved

    Hope this helps

What I did was get a 320gb HD, rip/grab the iso's and install them with WBFS and then backup the iso's onto the other partition. Format with WBFS and leave the second partition as NTFS for Windows and backing up the iso's. That way if USB Loader can't find the games and you have to start again like I have then you have everything backed up on the same drive.
