Wii won't play OEM game without update

SO now that I have put homebrew etc. in, and downgraded my firmware to 3.2U from 3.4U Now Wii won't play a normal regular game just by clicking the channel that the game is on(default location upper left corner). It will play them by using backup loader but it is not a backup. It says I need to install update. What do I do?

I have that, but I was afraid to install at the time due to the warning. So do I have to run it all the time? or just do it once and I am good? also are there updates worth having for the Wii? or is it strictly just tryingto update the firmware to 3.4U from 3.2U?

You only have to run it once and select the patches that you want - don't worry about the warning, its just a standard disclaimer. The only updates you need to make new games run is 3 new IOS that you can install with wad manager.

yes. It just sat there. I'm really not sure about all this. It just doesn't seem to be working at all. Kinda getting frustrated. I downloaded and image of a game that I know the image was good. I burned it and the backup loader doesn't load the game either. The cIOS stuff is a bit confusing. DO you switch back and forth? or is there certain ones to load to make certain apps run? I watched a couple videos and read some read me's. I installed the DG mod package as it was exactly explained. There are so many different things, I'm just not sure what I should have in there anymore..

Can you install Starfall with the 4.0 Softmod that was released a few days ago? Any errors, or problems with it?

well, I did get the starfall to work with what I already have. How do you know when to load a cIOS? Do they all get installed? or does one overwrite the other?

@undead - Starfall only works on 3.2 so you would have to downgrade.

@highaltitude - cIOS get installed, cIOS249 is the one that most homebrew runs with and you don't have to do anything with it, the game or program looks for it and uses it. If you don't have cIOS249r9 get it here.
