You can test it pretty easily if you have an 8gb or larger USB ram drive. GH Metallica takes up 4.25gb on the drive so you need one that big. You can format the ram drive with WBFS manager and copy metallica to it. If it loads with USB Loader it means there may be a problem with your drive, if it doesn't load it's probably something else.

WD elements 400gb drive is one that I use. It works fine. GH Metallica loads off it no problem. I use the entire drive as a WBFS drive although that wouldn't matter. In fact I've used at least a dozen different drives from 320gb to 1.5TB and they all work... I've never met a drive that USB loader doesn't like lol or an external enclosure for that matter.

The only game that wouldn't load (so far, haven't quie tested them all yet) is Mortal Kombat Armageddon NTSC RKME5D.

Ok I'm using a 60gb IBM Daystar IDE drive (kind of old and only extra I had that would work). I formatted with the USB Loader 1.2 and am now using the USBLoader 1.5. I tried a 90gb Maxtor and 60Gb Hitachi and they both would not format with USB Loader, in the future I might get a big SATA external.

I will say about GH: Metallica, that unless you're a diehard Metallica fan it's really not that different from the other GH games. Anyone else think that GH3 and GH: World Tour have different graphics? I think GH3 is superior in nearly all ways.
