Homebrew Channel recovery on 4.0, possible?
I used to have the Homebrew Channel on my system when my firmware was 3.2. I recently updated to 4.0J through Nintendo then as stupid as I am, I re-formatted my system. The Homebrew Channel got erased and now I can't get it back because I can't use Twilighthack on 4.0.
I made a copy of HBC to my SD card prior to formatting the system. It now sits on the SD under the directory "private/wii/title/HAXX/content.bin". Obviously I can't load this HBC on the SD menu nor copy it to my Wii.
My question: is it possible to change the banner and information used to identify channels on this HAXX content.bin so that it matches with another channel. (such as one of those "free" channels you can download from Wii shop) So that it can trick the system into loading this modified "official" channel, but with nothing but HBC inside?
If that was possible, I imagine it would be used over the Twilight Hack, as created directories is a rather simple task.
The content.bin file is unique to each system. So no, twilight hack was still necessary, as the content.bin file will not work on every single system.

If the content.bin already matches your system, then....... try it?
Here's a list of names I've recorded thus far (NTSC consoles; IDK if they're the same for PAL):
Check Mii Out Channel: /private/wii/title/HAPE/content.bin
Everybody Votes Channel: /private/wii/title/HAJE/content.bin
Internet Channel: /private/wii/title/HADE/content.bin
Kirby 64: /private/wii/title/NAME/content.bin
Metroid Prime 3 Preview: /private/wii/title/HAWE/content.bin
Nintendo Channel: /private/wii/title/HATE/content.bin
Photo Channel 1.1: /private/wii/title/HAZA/content.bin
Although I doubt Nintendo checks the folder name when determining whether or not the content.bin is legit and not the HBC. It prolly checks content.bin itself, in which case you're SoL, I'd think.
