    Cloning a WBFS drive

Does anyone know if WBFS Manager 2.2.1 will read a second Wii formatted drive? I am upgrading from my 100gb drive to a new 500gb. I'd like to transfer directly from one drive to the other without extracting the ISOs. It will take WAAAAAYYYY too long to extract to my PC and then re-up them to the new drive, but it may be my only choice. Maybe a cloning app needs to be developed.

Edit - I guess it can't. Any other thoughts or solutions?

I may be wrong here but I think you should be able to use a 3rd party software to perform a bit-for-bit copy. may try Clonezilla

I'll look into it, but would 3rd party apps recognize WBFS partitions. It's my understanding that it was created specifically for the USB Loader hack.

EDIT - Here is some info from Clonezilla's page.

"Filesystem supported: ext2, ext3, reiserfs, xfs, jfs of GNU/Linux, FAT, NTFS of MS Windows, and HFS+ of Mac OS (testing feature provided by partclone). Therefore you can clone GNU/Linux, MS windows and Intel-based Mac OS. For these file systems, only used blocks in partition are saved and restored. For unsupported file system, sector-to-sector copy is done by dd in Clonezilla."

I'm gonna try it later. I bought a 1TB drive, but instead of using it, I'm gonna swap it out one of my 500gb in my PC. Woo hoo!!, That will put me at 1.5TB on the PC, 1.5TB on my WDTV (for movies), 500GB for Wii, 100GB for music on my Kenwood car deck and I still have my 500GB Screenplay to play with.

I found this over at wiinewz, the author of WBFS Manager has asked for feedback about version 3.0. I suggest you head over there and vote accordingly.

My highest priority feature for next release is:
    Drive to drive transfer/Drive cloning: 91 33.70%
    Batch/Multiple Extract: 22 8.15%
    Channel creation: 76 28.15%
    Automatic UnRaring/UnZipping and addition: 33 12.22%
Extract and compress to ZIP: 9 3.33%
    Game banners: 30 11.11%
    Other: 9 3.33%
It's kinda hard to read, but you can see that drive to drive cloning is ahead at 33.70%
