I have reverted back to rev 10 now and covers load fine, also seems to rip to the usb ok, now then I know that madworld wont run on rev 10 and will on rev 9 need to try the rest of the games on rev 10 and report back
I have my Wii(LU52+) with cIOS rev10 and I can copy games with USB Loader 1.5 just fine.
But on my friend's Wii(LU32+ I think) cannot copy games, it'll just freeze between 4-8% of the copying process and when I try to shutoff, it dumps a code, but everything is fine.
I'm gonna install cIOS rev9 on this problematic Wii and see what happens.
my buddies dose the same thing aswell as ur friends...i havent tried it with the newest loaders on his yet because he lives a little ways away from me and havent seen him in awhile...

on his system if it was a game that took more then like 45 secs to install would just freeze at various points and go to code dump when i powered off system also i believe it would freeze trying to start to play a game
ony my system everything worked fine other then the minor issue of freezing during games sometimes
i havent tried with the rev10 or any of the new loaders....but i did use the same usb device on both systems and i was the one who has done all the hack stuff on his wii so it has everything installed the same as mine
just wierd the big difference from one system to another that should have identical hack installs on it
I've got rev10 problems as well. I'm using the Ultimate74 USB loader, but have also tried the raw version 1.5 as well with the same effects. Basically everything was working fine except there were no cover images. I remembered I hadn't upgraded to rev10 (from rev9) so did so, and now I get the cover images but no backups will load (they appear to hang before they start, and I get a core dump on power down). Looks like I'm going to have to go back to rev9, which is a shame as the covers make it a lot easier for the kids to see what's available. Is installing rev9 over rev10 just a case of rerunning the rev9 install? I'm off to do a bit of research now, but just in case someone answers before I find a post about it....
Looks like simply running the rev9 install will do the trick. I'll need to leave it until tomorrow now, so if anyone thinks I'm about to do something daft, please yell at me :-)

as for which rev is best i think its on a whatever fits you best scenario from what im seeing is everyone has their own best fit for which rev and which loader works best for their system and their hdd their using....because i know personally a guy has the same hdd as mine and using the most current rev and loader with no problems at all but with my im finding it freezing in the middle of some games so weather its a minor defect in my hdd or just system to system and hdd to hdd is gonna be different for everyone and what they need to use to make it work right

Defenetly not working for me on my friend's Wii.
cIOS rev10 and rev9 will not fix this crash error!
I really don't know what to do, but I'm thinking is more about the cIOS or another IOS Installed in the Wii, since it's crashing with cIOS DVD Dump 1.2 and with some wad installs (WW, VC games).
Anyone's got some ideas?
Yup, reinstalled 9 and I can run stuff from the USB disk again. Downloaded rev10 from a different source and tried it again, but it stil doesn't work. Guess I'm going to need to wait for rev11 before I can get cover images!
Incidentally, I did a binary compare on the two .dol files for rev10, and there were lots of differences - is that to be expected? Are dol files compressed for example, and I could just be seeing the effect of two different compressio routines?
kev160967: i dont believe they are compressed but not 100%, i dont think you should see differences but i could be wrong again i have only been into the hacking scene since january and never really fully exploded that stuff with the dol files but i always just get my files from the creator waninkoko from his site the sites in spanish i think but the titles for the various releases he has are self explanitory

for rev10 from his site you just need to scroll down and go to the second page....
NKNAVE: i don't believe its the cios if you download a good copy of the rev, if its only acouple of games(wiiware or vc) could be bad wads because i believe the only problems you should have with some of the games is when you go to play them the wont load up there are a few that require acouple ios files the ones i have installed aside from ios16 & ios36 is 38,53,55
but really hard to just pinpoint whats casuing it your best bet would be to make a new post and explain everything youve done from the start of hacking the wii and what version you on what version if any went to, and basically everything on how you got to this point, like what youve installed and what if any software (like downgrader's or whatever) you used to make changes...
thats my idea anyways that be the best way to get some better help on the problem
