Note to self...Drinking with the inlaws might cause a headache.

So I brought my new and soft modded wii to the inlaws for easter. We had so much fun(Never knew Wii Sports was such a good drinking game), my father in law went out and bought his own. Question though. Should I burn a tank of gas to drive back up there and help him hack it? I see a million posts in various forums about people who "accedentally updated to system menu 4". Is this only released as a system update as of yet, or are they shipping with 4.0 preloaded too.

Before you burn up a whole tank of gas, get your father in law to check the serial no. on his wii, if its a LU64+++++ then there's not a lot you can do atm, theres more of a chance of this problem on a new wii than a sys menu 4 being on it i think, though you may want to get him to check that too! If he has got one or both of those probs then my advice would be to hunt down a second hand one with as many controllers as possible as that is where most of his money will end up going!

    3.1-3.4 Twilight/Downgrade/Starfall/GammaTutorial

What do you think about this guide? I ended up driving up there. Although I have not been back to check the serial number, I am pretty sure he has the lu64. I was able to get the twilight hack on there but reverting the firmware was a bust for sure. I am going to try thise guide Saturday unless you have any insite.

edit: I checked his SN starts with lu654xxxxx so I am going to have to do some poking around to see where I screwed up, or is it possible that lu64 then lu65 lu66 etc all have the same problem?

Ye the problem starts at LU64++++ and affects all subsequent wiis inc LU65++++, you can either wait for the fix that the softmii guys claim to have or get rid and try and get an older model.....

I think I get it now, I read that guide as a walkthough for LU64 users. I thought the bold red was the title not a warning for LU64 users.
