    homebrew not recognizing apps...?

    hi,
I'm a newbie to wii hacking but I'm trying to play backed up games on my wii. I've searched google and the forum to try to find a solution but can't find anything that helps. Theres 2 problems, I'm using 3.4 and used the twilight hack and installed the homebrew channel from my sd card.

1, I installed the hbc_apps from the homebrew download page but couldn't get tetris to work or the region free to work as it came up with an error message saying these are not wii apps. Could anyone offer a solution to this?

2, THE MAIN PROBLEM. I'm trying to install other apps including the wad manager but when i follow the online guides from youtube and wiihacks the apps don't appear in homebrew. When i insert the sd card and goto the homebrew channel nothing shows up except for the apps from hbc_apps. could someone please suggest something i can do? have i installed homebrew incorectly?

thank you in advance for any help.

this is all I can think of...are the apps in the right folders? ie apps in the 'app' folder and wads in the 'wad' folder?...and have you renamed the app to boot.dol? and they're not .elfs by any chance?

-pelican i'm reading through the eoc tutorial now so hopefully will try something from there.

you can't change the .elfs to .dols, sorry i didn't make that clear, elf are and old format, you better off searching for more up to date apps, what was it you were trying to use?

Also helps if you don't have GCN memory cards in Slot A or B.
