cIOSCORP looks cool but is it really?

I've been looking into softmii, and mainly all i'd need is cioscorp it seems, is this software all its really cracked up to be? It seems like a good idea but at the same time, do i really want to change all my IOS's? Everything works 100% using what i have now, should i tempt fate for disc channel loading?

If everything works and your happy with it, just leave it. cIOScorp is pretty cool but if it ain't broke don't fix it

I thought the same thing too, but then I tried it and I love it. I love being able to load a burnt disc exactly the same as an original and it plays the animated banner that goes with the original and everything. No error messages, and no need for another channel taking up space. As well as the wii history showing now mention of a backup being ran. It works great and if you decide you don't like it any more for some reason you can always put it back to normal by running anyregion changer.

Do I need ALL of the cIOSs in cIOScorp to use the disc channel? Because I just re-installed my system menu so I could load softmii, and the disc channel still loads backups. I'm curious as to what cIOS it is that allows disc channel/backup use.

Also, is cIOScorp (the app) just a batch wad installer? Like if I put all the regular IOSs into the cIOScorp folder, will it install them over the cIOSs?

different games use different ios, so as long as you have the cioscorp ios that the game requires it will run in disk channel...does that make sense? If all you imnstalled was a sys menu then cioscorp will still be there...and you are right, the app is just a wad batch installer.

So if this is true, and taking into account what we discused in this thread is there any chance HB apps will someday include the incompatable cards? And what makes them that way?

    hi guys,

ive been looking for this so called cioscorp 37, is this the same as the softmii? or is it a regular cioscorp? coz i found the thread for cioscorp and the file, but it doesnt say anything bout 37, so im kinda confused, is it a fix #37?

while some thread (like this one) talks bout cioscorp and softmii altogether, so is it the same?

btw can i run cioscorp along with gamma backup launcher? or the whole changing the ios to cios will ruin the gamma backup launcer? coz everything works fine with the backup launcher, and i just need the cioscorp for rock band 2 only, so im trying to find out if its worth it or not

    thanks

ps to doggeggs: is the file cios37 in your sig is the cioscorp im looking for? i doubt it, but i gotta ask, thanks.

no idea what cioscorp 37 is? maybe it's the ios37 from cioscorp? i have cioscorp in my mediafire, have a look....
softmii is not an app, its a guide....with a stupid name, and it includes cioscorp...do some more digging and find out what is meant by cioscorp 37, where did you see it?

is that the latest cioscorp? will that work side by side with backup launcher without messing things up?

i saw it in rawksd disccussion forum somewhere, i got the out of date error with my custom import from rb1 to rb2, coz i used homebrew and the backup launcer is just not compatible with rawksd, so i asked around and they told me bout this cioscorp37, and i saw couple people mention it as well, but no matter where i look i can only find the cioscorp v2 you mention, is there a fix to it? like the 002 fix patch or something?

ill do some more digging to this and keep you posted, but since the discussion of homebrew in most of the forum are prohibited, i kinda end up here again ^^ but maybe theres something here that i missed

    thanks alot ^^
