Thats right. If you use Homebrew channel. you have a risk to be banned from WFC the next time you play any game online. So if you want to continue playing online, you must delete the homebrew channel.Well since i was bored & have nothing better to do i decided to make this.
Q:What is Error 20102
A: Error 20102 is an error code users who have the HAXX ticket in there nintendo wii recieve. A.k.a the "homebrew channel". It will ban you from wi-fi.
Q:Why does it happen?
A: Nintendo was either sick of getting the on going calls about people complaining about hackers. Or just decided that the hackers have had there chance for far too long.
Q no i have error 20102 what do i do?
A: Well there are a couple of ways, You can call a the following nintendo number 1-800-895-1672 for USA & canada only!!!! You could also wait until april 6th, when nintendo supposebly un bans the hackers. But it is unclear if this is a rumor or not(most likely its not a rumor). Or format your wii but you will lose all your save data.
Q:Does this means no more hackers online until april 6th?
A:unfortuantely & fortuantley no. Hackers have already figured out how to get around it by re formatting their wiis. But the % of hackers has gone down drastically!
Q:What is the HAXX ticket mentioned in the begging?
A:The HAXX ticket is something you recieve when you download the HBC a.k.a homebrew channel. Nintedo searches for mysterious activity & then scans your wii for this ticket & if it is found you will recieve the error.
Q:I have formatted my wii & i still cant get on wi-fi what happened?
A: You got Screwed, it has been reported that it doesnt work 100% of the time but it does work.
Q:Is this only for mario kart wii?
A: NO!, it is for every wi-fi game!
Facts / review
1. Error code 20102 is only recived by users with the HAXX ticket.
2. People can still hack even with this error code.
3. You can recieve the error code on any wi-fi game!
4. The april 6th un-ban policey mught be a rumor.
5. You will not automatically be caught if you hack your wii is only scanned if nintendo has seen suspicuos activity.

if you copy the channel onto a SD card then delete it off your system will that "solve" the problem of getting caught while scanned?
Yes, but you can't run channels off the SD card. Just don't hack wifi when playing with random people - only friends.

Ehehe, to me this is good news - those who use cheats online are losers...
i some how managed to hack my wii yet never quite got how to cheat on or offline guess it wasn't that important to me. when I want to play wifi stuff will just delete HBC off the console then copy it back once i have finished

It's a pain BUT at present the only way out of this would be a full reformat of the Wii...... which will give it a "new" Wii ID and unbanned, but it will erase everything and you will not be able to use your old saves anymore.

And apparently if you don't cheat, you don't get scanned or banned. I don't use online play that much anyways...
You can cheat, but if you happen to get into a match with a nintedo employee, you're boned. Stick to cheating with friends.
