cMIOS and backup launcher

Hey quick question about cMIOS:
I have installed a gamecube backup loader without installing a cMIOS. Do i need to install cMIOS or is it only there to play gamecube games with the wii backup launcher?? and if i need it, do i have to uninstall the gc backup loader before installing cMIOS

(I havent tried yet if the gc backup launcher works)

Well not really you just need to get an mios patcher and when you get it press x first on the gc controller then press a and after that you are set! Cmios is just if you want the burnt gc games to pop up on the disc channel.

cMIOS is to play Gamecube games via the gamecube launcher if you don't install cMIOS-rev3 with the cMIOS rev3 Installer, you wouldn't be able to play gamecube backups.

Then why is it working on my wii and i've never even touched a cMIOS!!!

They are similar, I used cMIOS rev3 and i launched my gc games just my pressing in the gamecube backup loader v0.2
