    Exclamation Can I use a Memorex DVD+R to play my backups?

    Hello everyone!

    I successfully got the Backup loader APP by Wiigator to play my LEGAL backups
    Now I have a Memorex DVD+R ||| 16X ||| 4.7GB ||| 120min |||

    Will this type of DVD work on the Wii to play back-up games? I ran out of DVD-R

    Thanks in advance

    Oh! I also have a Sony DVD+R WITH AccuCORE
    |||120min ||| 4.7GB ||| 1-16x |||

    It also states "Excellent Performance and Reliability"

    If the SONY isn't also reliable then what brand should I use?

    DVD+R is very unstable when it comes to Backups, soo I'd suggest not using it.
    YES! I finally finished my Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas port for Mac! I'm so happy

    @billyhome .... I don't have a dvd-r :\

    @nintendavin

    I understand what you are saying but for now I can't really afford a pack of dvd-r

    I only have

    a Memorex DVD+R ||| 16X ||| 4.7GB ||| 120min |||

    AND

    a Sony DVD+R WITH AccuCORE
    |||120min ||| 4.7GB ||| 1-16x |||

    One of these MUST work :\

    u need to set booktype when burnig dvd+r for wii. refer to the ImgBurn programme. burn it at 2x~4x may help a bit, while u've to live with dvd+r (unfortunately).
    enjoy.

    I've used +r in mine and they play but theres a big difference from the -r.
    The +r click in the drive 10 times louder in mine.I just did it as a test i only use -r now.

    I use the memorex +R's and so far I've only had problems with HotD: overkill - everything else has worked perfectly, yet try as I might I can't get this one game to work on my wii.

    dvd+r

    I used around a dozen of them when I first started into this at christmas, but have since switched to -r's for all my burning needs and have noticed an improvement in quality, but in a pinch +r's should still work for you
