I bricked my wii help me!

    hey guys,

I recently was able to work on TP hack.
and couple days ago, I tried to change my region to Korea using anyregion changer.

I had 3.3U originally and downgraded my Wii to 3.2U but after messing with anyregion changer I couldn't go pass the health warning msg.

I set everything to korea except for the actually firmware, i think this is what went wrong.

I was able to dig some info and got savemiifree worked with GC controller. but i can't seem go any further. (it says 3.2(KOR) when i do savemiifree)

I'm not even sure if my wii is semi-, full- for low-level bricked.

do any of you guys know if it is fixable? should I get a new wii? or get a modchip?

my bricked wii is first generation wii, what is decent modchip i can get to unbrick my wii?

thanks in advance for your help

    Min,

I blv there's a recovery method from the health screen by pressing some buttons on the controller and this is assuming you already have Starfall installed when you inatalled the hacks. Look up in the search engine. Good luck

If savemiifree is saying 3.2 k, that means you have the korean firmeware installes. This is what bricked your wii. you should only use native firmware for the wii. Have you installed starfall? If so did you turn on the skip disc updates, if not you can simply put in any origianl game with a newer firmware 3.2 or 3.4 u, Wii music, NFS undercover, etc.. These will prompt for an update an will install the newer firmware for the us system. There are other ways to solve this problem but this might be the easiet assuming that you don't have the option turned on in starfall.
    Good Luck

    Wrong information

If the wii has "Korean" firmware and you allow an update from an NTSC disk YOU will brick your system

Korean Wii is defaulted at 3.2K exfactory, basically. unless u got authentic Korean game disc, i suggest u take a move on chip-mod. D2Sun is the chip, being commonly marketing in Seoul.
wiikey2 was supposed compatibile... not sure.
    i don't hv KOR wii...bcoz i can't read Korean

ok know i'm confused in the tutorial you gave it say that if you have installed a wrong version of firmware on your wii you need to update with the correct region version, the guy say that he have a 3.2U (usa version wii) and accidentally put the wii in 3.2k, then he should update to a USA firmware like 3.3U that came with the Wiimusic or animal crossing, to fix the problem!!

Since he started with a 3.3U system he needs to update back to 3.3u or 3.4u using a NTSC disc with this update as far as i know. If this is wrong then everything I have read on this matter is wrong as well.

He started with 3.3u BUT region changed it to Korea...... therefore the system is " Korean" (as displayed by savemii) and will need to be updated with a "Korean" update to first unbrick the system, before downgrading & running any region changer to get it back to USA region firmware.

    You could try this method

If starfall recovery loads up you should be able to autoboot Zelda, if you selected the correct options in starfall that is and then run Any region changer through the Twilight Hack, and reinstall your System menu?

also i guess if you didn't select the correct options in starfall to autoboot you could load up the starfall\savemiifrii recovery and insert a game that contains the 3.3 update, let it sit for about 10min then restart the wii, it should update and fix your Wii, I believe
