Wii gives lsi error and code dump

Hi I am new here but not new to the forums.

I have been searching all morning but having issues with the short search parameters.

    I was at V3.4U

    I downgraded firmware to 3.2U

I copied my zelda game and played it fine with backup player.

I copied my mario game and played it as well.

Now, whenever I turn the Wii on with a Backup in drive it tells me to remove the disc and reboot.

If I try to load the game in backup player or I get black screen with error lsi and a code dump.

If I use gecko I get no disk with overlapping.

Why was it working before then stop?

I have downgraded again to try and resolve issue to no avail.

    thank you

    damien

sorry if searching would have found this issue but as I said the short values were just not giving me what i was looking for.

    thanks

alright I did everything over again.

it says program exception error when trying to boot game

using dvd-r media burnt at 1X

I followed the how to here http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...t-proof-o.html

    to the tee.

and it was working before I dont get it.

    regular non-backups still work fine.

I am guessing that you did not install starfall ?
I am also guessing that the "mario" game you played contained an update to 3.3 and that your downloaded games that will not play are not 1:1 copies or are trucha signed

Check your Wii settings page and let us know what version you are on now
Have you used the search function ? used the Tutorial section ?

Did you know you can donate to help the running of this forum ?

    OK I started over again

    I am at firmware 3.2U

I installled the last 4 options of starfall.

    I have dvdx installed.

I have the backup launcher installed.

I have the backup channel installed.

I have the homebrew browser updated.

I have the gecko os installed.

I have twighlight princess copyed and mario both were working fine.

    DVD-R media

    Burnt 1X speed.

program exeption error or black screen.

and have to hold power button to restart.

    error no dvd found.

or program (exeption) error with code dump screen.

When I change the IOS it goes directly to code dump screen.

What IOS is supposed ot be loaded?

I installed about 5 of them according to the "everything" thread.

    damien

    thank you

When you are installing the IOS packages which one gives you the error and which ones have you successfully installed?

remember we don't know what you did

Have you tried downloading a game and burning it as a dvd ?
Does the downloaded game work ?

I just have a feeling you may be burning raw data and not dvd

You should always try the source of the problem first ( in other words the disk ), there may not be any problem with what you have done to the Wii but with what you have done to the dumped files

I am not meaning to sound harsh or unappreciative

I too am supermod at a site related to another type of testing.

at risk of repeating myself I will quote my first post.

I copied my zelda game and played it fine with backup player.

I copied my mario game and played it as well.
It's strage ive tryed several how to's

ive even upgraded and downgraded again to see if that would fix the issue.

i finnaly went to town with deleteanyfile and deleted everything.

    I updated back to 3.4u

and left it that way for now.

kinda frustrated as I have no idea why it stopped playng the backups?

Im not even a gamer its my kids wii.

    thanks for helping

    damien
