Basic question re: Starfall and other apps

I just did my first wii softmod and it went fine. I downgraded to 3.2U and have installed Starfall. Does Starfall run off the Wii memory or the SD card? I want to know if I need the SD card in to get the protection that it offers. Also, is it correct that I can use PAL games as long as I have Starfall installed? Thanks.

If Starfall has already been installed on your system you can delete it off your sd card.
I don't know about playing other regions game but I think you have to run something called regionfrii everytime you play some other region, don't count one me though because I dont play other region games.

well as for your first question about region of games...im asuming ur using wii gator 0.3 gamma to launch the backups and as for my experience so far about half my backups are pal region and i have ntsc system most worked without doing anything in the loader but i did have acouple that required me to force ntsc in the loader options so they should be fine as long as you force ntsc everytime on them....

as for the apps if ur using the apps through the hbc then they are loading off of ur sd and thats why their in a apps folder on it...but if you have a wad file of the app and you install it through wad manager as a channel on ur wii then you dont require it on ur card anymore in the unless u want to remove the channel again ( my personal preference for apps such as wad manager and wii gator i just leave them on my sd as apps and just load them from there to save space on wii not sure exactly how big those programs are but its really up to u what u like best, if you want it just as a channel on wii menu or to just load app from hbc)
