What did i do, tried installing Cios 37, now black screen error after powering on

Damn, i was trying to installing cios 37. I put the cios 37 file in my #6 Cios installer folder. I pressed A and i guess it extracted and said ok when done. Now when i turn my Wii on the regular menu is there for about 1 second and a black screen comes up and says error. Please help!

thanx for quick replay admiral. Seems i didn't brick it, forgot i still had Sims Animal in the drive. But still not sure why it isn't working. I installed the ios's you mentioned and put the cios 37 in the cios installer folder. I did notice cios 36 was in that folder, just drug that to my desktop and put the 37 there instead. Still not sure what i am doing, why is there a .dol and a .elf file in the cios 37 download, and read me is empty? Should i put both of these files in the cios installer folder? Right now i only have the .dol installer file there.
in my Cios installer folder i have:
    boot.dol
    meta.xml
    cios37_rev2-installer.dol
I went to that folder, hit A button, everything extracted and said done. Sims Animals still does not play. Sorry for being a noob

i was trying to boot from the gamma launcher in EOC's guide. Isn't that the same thing?
Also i read somewhere someone renamed the Cios37 file to boot.dol?
Why can't i find clear instructions on how to do this properly?

Yea, i found that out after going to ANOTHER forum. Couldn't find anywhere on THIS forum about doing that! A little more detailed help from this community would be nice. You have to remember not everybody on this forum is tech savvy like you.
Anyway, i got the .wad installed on my SD root, used the CIOS37 installer. It installed perfectly!
I tried loading from Gamma, and it starts and stops loading over and over, nothing. I tried loading with Gecko OS and the drive sounds like it's reading, but there is a black screen. What else can i do to try to play this game?

I had exactly the same problem.

I was running the ISO through RegionFrii and WiiBrickBlocker then burning to disc but getting the black screen error. To cure the problem I burned an untouched version of the ISO and it worked perfectly first time.

Unzip the ISO again and try burning straight to disc with ImgBurn without using RegionFrii or WiiBrickBlocker.

    depressing...

mayhem i feel you, and im surprised you werent banned for your statements....

i told someone to re-prioritize things because they wanted to hack animal crossing, and i received a "warning"......a bit beyond absurdity.

i found this advise (regarding sims animals) after some searching. i too have had the black screen and after 4 diff burns and 2 seperate DL's i am trying this again without wiibrick blocker..i hope it werkz......

i also hope i dont receive a "warning" for "angry posts" as that would be the lamest thing in the world.
