    Rendered Wii Games

One time when I put Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. Brawl in my wii it rendered them unplayable. I tried removing all of the unauthorized software like the homebrew channel and I ordered a new copy of each game. I put both of them in my wii and it rendered it unplayable again. Does anyone know specifically what the causes are of it doing that and if there is something I can do to make it stop rendering my games? Thanks!

Sounds like you may be installing the disk-based update on the first-party Nintendo games, which will disable homebrew.

You'll want to follow our guide completely, Softmod Any Wii guide, to remod it which includes installation and configuring of Priiloader, which will block disk-based updates if you do it right.

The disk drives in the newer modules are capable of rendering your games unplayable and unreadable no matter what wii you put it in. It does that if they find out you're using unauthorized software.

I don't think I was installing the disk-based update on the first-party Nintendo games. Homebrew is still enabled. Thanks for the help though!

I don't suppose English is the OP's first language, hence the misunderstanding. It isn't mine, either, so I can usually tell.

That is just not true at all. The most Nintendo has ever done to Wii's using unauthorized software was to delete the means of using (ie, the Homebrew Channel). I don't know where you got such information from but you were grossly misinformed.

If you would like more piece of mind though, please post a syscheck so we can see what's going on with your Wii's mod. It's possible you could have a bad IOS required by the system, in which case I would refer you back to Illaffer's advice.

You giving him a piece of your mind, or offering peace of mind SNES?
