Smile Question about different soft modding methods

Hello, this is my first post on here.

Before I begin with my question, I'd like to mention that I soft modded my Wii a long long time ago (v3.x), so I do know how to soft mod, I know what I need, and I understand the jist of the soft modding process.

I now have a new Wii running 4.3u that I am looking to mod. I've read a few guides on each of these, but I am having a little difficulty differentiating one method from another.

My question is, what is the difference between: 1. LetterBomb 2. HackMii 3. ModMii 4. Game exploits (such as SSB-Brawl custom map hack) etc etc.

Which is the best/most reliable/simple for the version 4.3u?

    Thanks in advance!

*NOTE: I DO NOT NEED A GUIDE OF HOW TO SOFT MOD, ONLY A DESCRIPTION OF WHAT EACH METHOD IS, AND WHY (IF APPLICABLE), METHOD A IS > B.

    1. Letterbomb is a method used to launch the hackmii installer on system menu 4.3
    2. Hackmii intaller is what installs bootmii and the homebrew channel
    3. Modmii is an alternative to our Softmod ANY Wii guide (used to completely perform the softmod process). We actively support our guide, so obviously we will recommend using that. If you run into issues, we will always say to use our guide first because we know the ins and outs of how it works.
    4. Game exploits - another method of launching the hackmii installer, but they work on most every system menu version

Best for 4.3? They all work the same magic in the end, which is to launch hackmii installer. Look at our ANY Wii guide for details as to what all you can use. Simplest would be letterbomb or wilbrand (both options are listed in the guide on how to use them)

I know you said you dont need to use a guide, but if you dont know what all the above things are, you should probably use a guide. Softmodding is much more than just having the homebrew channel. At least look at the guides to get some guidance/direction. And remember, we wrote the guides to keep people from just randomly doing stuff and accidentally bricking. Your Wii though, your call...

Thanks for the detailed reply, cjizzle.

The last line about not needing a guide was only there to stop people posting me to guides, or people hating on me and being all like "hurr durr we have guides in the forums. Learn to look!"

I intend to use the guides on the forums.

    Thanks.
