Bought a used Wii with a theme on it?

I haven't used a Wii in a few years, but I bought one a few hours ago off Craigslist. I come home and plug it in, and it has a theme on it... removed external link that one to be specific.
I'm not fond of it at all, and it doesn't feel like my Wii, it feels like it was customized for someone else.
The person told me not to reformat, because they had bought OoT and I would lose it if I did. After messing around with the Wii, I decided that I couldn't stand the theme anymore and decided to reformat.
Much to my dismay, the theme wasn't removed. I'm sure this makes you modders laugh, but I've never used mods and expected it to just go away.
I'm really sad that my OoT is gone now, AND I still have this theme I don't like. I want my Wii to be reset to FULL defaults, how do I do that?

I would suggest you start out with remodding your system with Softmod Any Wii. When you get to chapter 2, install everything that says is optional as if it is required, including menu 4.1 (and ending with priiloader).

That should overwrite just about everything on the system with a new set of IOSs and cIOSs to get you back to where you were.

link to Softmod Any Wii guide is in my signature.

And to rebuy OoT is only $10. If you like the game, should be worth the cost.

    Thank you!!
I've glanced through the guide, so far. Do you know, can I use an external hd instead of an sd card? My computer doesn't have an sd card slot :/

SD cards must be used in the modding process. USB adapters for SD card reading are cheap.
