Your mod is old. So I think you should back up a bit and check out our Softmod Any Wii guide, linked in my signature.

Completing the guide properly will get your system current, give you recent releases on the three USB Loaders along with forwarders for all of them.

Once you've updated your system, then go back and install the forwarders for the other apps like emulators, etc. (be sure to back up the contents of your SD Card if you want to keep it, or use a different SD Card to mod the system, since the guide will have you format the card a number of times in the process.)

Thanks so much for the reply. I'll give my slutty Wii a once over.

Just out of curiosity, how're the new mods better than the older? I mean to me, my Wii does everything i could ask it to and more! Are the new mods mainly more robust?

    Thanks again,

Ok, i've gone through and re-de-virginized the old gal. She gave it up easy, every WAD installed without a hitch. Here's the Syscheck:

    Spoiler

Does that mean I have "brick protection" from Priiloader? Does the fact that syscheck calls it "Priilaoder" mean anything? The idea is that if I mess something up, I can hold down reset until I get into Priiloader?

Finally, which IOS to install the forwarders?

    Thanks so much,
    JRTF83

Think of things this way. The best brick PROTECTION is BootMii as boot2 and a NAND backup. The best option to RECOVER from certain bricks is Priiloader. One is a a preventative, the other a curative.

Ah, great, thanks for that simple explanation. I have a NAND backup, and Priiloader, but I don't believe I can install BootMii as boot2, because of the newness of my Wii. Or can I, now that I downgraded to 4.1u?

No, if it didn't let you before it won't let you now. Boot2 access was exploitable on early production runs of the Wii. For a better sense of bricks, priiloader and so forth:

Thanks so much for that link! There's so much good info out there, but it's all so hard to find.
My new problem is that my wiimotes are acting up. It's almost like they're laggy... Not every button push registers and if they do, it's like a half a second late. This is true in all software. I tried holding sync down for 15 seconds at the health screen and re-syncing but no fix. Any ideas? (should i post a new thread?)
