cMIOS Installer is not looking for the right version

    Hi!

I am trying to follow this tutorial to play Gamecube backups.

Everything was fine until I came to the step to install MIOS v10 via IOS236.

I downloaded the cMIOS installer (WiiGator) in the "Downloads" on the tutorial, but there's a slight error.

The installer is looking for MIOS v4 and not v10.

Is the installer outdated? If so, any way to tweak it or get a more recent version of the installer to install v10?

I am using a Wii from ~2007 with 4.3u if anyone wants that info.

(Tried renaming it, doesn't do much)

Anyways, here was the message it was trying to display:

If anyone wants to know, my Wii is from ~2007 running 4.3u.

(P.S. Renaming the file didn't work?)"

You've already posted this, and I approved it. (The link causes the post to auto-moderate since you have a low post count).

I will close this one to reduce confusion as to which post should be replied to and checked for responses.

How about a link to the other thread in case someone else happens upon this one in the future, or delete this thread entirely. I've personally found way to many opened ended threads like this throughout the net while searching for something, and it sucks to be that guy lol.

NeoGamma is trying to say something! :O

    Hi (Yet again...®),
After FINALLY and successfully following the nice tutorial, I finally got everything under control.

But (Yet again...®), I got an error (This time with NeoGamma).

I burned my Super Mario Sunshine backup and noticed that I burned it on a DVD+R (Which I realized the Wii didn't like due to the rumors I found it might kill it's laser), so that was a slip right there...

I got right ahead and bought some DVD-R this time and burned it as directed in the guide.

But, NeoGamma just spewed this at me after loading the disc in the Wii:

    DVD-R + no cIOS!
Possibly I forgot to install some cIOS version after following the tutorial as directed or something.

What version I missed there and which version to install?

Moderators: I already found out the problem in this other post I did (I used an old version of the installer and downloaded a newer version). You know what to do.

(The title was a bit of a joke. Sorry if it didn't make you laugh )

Please stop making multiple threads --- moved your post into your old thread. Post a SysCheck - both the program and directions how to do so can be found here. It will generate a SysCheck - post the results as a reply to this thread.

Sorry, but vBulletin is one odd forum system...

    Won't happen again!

I would suspect you haven't followed this guide prior to the one relating to GameCube stuff... which is probably why you're where you're at now (so to speak).
