    Edit the wiimod.txt file with notepad. Add the line: onlyCheckIOSOnDemand=1

    Then try again.

    What guide did you follow (and it was a wiihacks guide, right?) --- FAT32, NTFS, what? Wondering as to drive's integrity...

    I followed the "Softmod ANY Wii" guide as you suggested, and my drive is in FAT32 format.

    The symptoms could be that of a drive going bad, hence my offhand remark about drive integrity. As this is a valid FAT32 HD (you dodged my question, or at least the specifics lol), you may wish to attach it to a PC and do a CheckDisk on it to see if any corruption has occurred. This could be a software corruption, or a hard-type corruption (imminent disc failure).

    I didn't mean to dodge the question (didn't even noticed I did), it just I don't know much about HDD besides the size and what format I should use when it comes to backups for wii or other systems. sorry about that ^^;

    I'll try that chkdisk then. I don't know about "software corruption" considering the enclosure didnt had any software to begin with..

    UPDATE: okay it saids theres no problems or errors found soo I don't think its corrupted... should I try defragging the harddrive? It saids 11% is fragmented and it seems like a lot of my wii games needs defragging

    Essentially I meant, did you follow this guide for FAT32? You have Wii games on this drive, right? That's software, hence the software corruption remark. On checking the disk: did you check ALL sectors or merely where there was data? I forget the terminology but essentially there's a quick scan and a deep scan. I seriously doubt fragmentation would be the issue, but feel free.
