    My own opinion.
If someone prefers to play Wii games then Chip mod
If someone prefers to play the Wii console (hacking) then Soft mod

when you got like 15:40,000 active people you can consider it no one

    but for the millionth time

SOFTMOD IS DIFFERENT THAN GAMMA, the question is Gamma/softchip/ISO loader VS modchip

~_~ please stop making it seem like their counter, because most people will add HBC, because its useful, but when you want to play backups, you cant just go "softmod > modchip because of the program"

if you do go with a mod chip i would use a wii-clip, unless you are well practiced with a soldering iron. a badly soldered chip will cause untold grief

    it is a top game.

with or without mod chip the HBC is a must and the iso loaders while still problematic will only get better, to the extent i think that the basic mod chips will die and only the likes of hdd compatible solutions will survive

    WRONG ;3

what WILL happen is, nintendo will keep making updates that are problematic, and there will down the road be no fix for it or atleast a harder one than this, then people will no go that road... in addition the loader has been out for 3 or so months, and there have been very little updates to get 100%

currently the only way to get a high ratio is

LATEST softchip, ALL Cios's/IOS's installed, and patch just about every game to IOS 249

=\ thats a LOT of work just to play backups

over 3rd gen modchips, that clip on the to ribbon cable

even at 100% some will pay, most wont
the paid people will enjoy their wii
the cheap people will complain and ask for help constantly

read some of the posts here.... people can rarly get this downgrader working, or get confused by installing homebrew on 3.4... even if Dev's love the challange, the average user will be unable to complete it

very true but a lot of the people who are struggling are too lazy to do any research and as such i don't think they deserve a solution.

anyway i have gone off topic too much now, and i know better than to argue with a guy who knows his onions like you do anyway!
