What are the chances of my Wii being bricked?

By running imports with the HBC? I know bricked Wiis are extremely unlikely to begin with, but I'm new at this.

    Alright cool.

I'm just trying to play Tatsunoko VS Capcom on my Wii. That's all.

Hey, another question. (Don't want to spam new topics)

Okay so trying to downloaded the DVD-X and Bootloader programs onto the HBC in order to play my burned disc. However, it says it's installed, but there's an error message. But it tells me that the installation is finished an that I can press any button to restart my Wii.

Looking around on the internet, I found out that there have been no successes with getting the DVD-X/Bootloader programs onto the HBC with a 3.4u Wii. (Which I have) Looking into downgrading, I found out that there is a chance that your Wii can become semi-bricked. And I don't want any damage to my Wii, even if it isn't likely to happen.

Is there another way around this dilemma?

Hey, I had the same thoughts as you.

There seriously is'nt anything to worry about, the codes well written and unless you do a serious cock up you are not going to brick your wii.

I think that DVDx is outdated now as it's slower than using something such as the WiiGator gamma loader.

I was on 3.4E and what I had to do was Downgrade to 3.2 then install the cIOS and WAD Manager.

I'm sure you will find many guides on this forum, the exact one i used is'nt here but i can get you the link if you want it.

and try not to write in blue, on my screen it's harder to read than black.

    Hope i helped.

Sorry, writing in Blue is a thing of mine on all forums. Anyways, I have everything on my Wii. I have the BackLoader gamma loader channel. However, I am getting Disc Read Error 324's every time I try to play Tatsunoko VS Capcom.

Looking into the problem, it seems that DVD-R's seem to work better, and I've gone thorugh two DVD+R's. I'm going to pick up a pack of DVD-R's and see of that helps.

    Also, one more thing:

Starfaller. I have read about it and have a general idea of what it does. One of those being able to skip updates on some games as to ruin your Wii. However, it does many other things. Is there something else I can put on my Wii that only focuses on the updates issue?
