    A few problems here...

Hey guys, I've got some problems here.

First my wii was partially bricked i.e 2 news channel and 2 weather channel. Obviously system menu not working. But I've managed to fix that with a wii system update to 3.2J then convert to 3.2E with anyregionchanger. But all news channel and weather channel have gone. But after rebooting once more, both channels have come back BUT it's asking for an update which I won't do it at this point of time, I don't need them but it would be great to know how to get them working again without doing an update...?

After hours of youtube searching found this dude showing how to connect to wifi with his wii. So I managed to do it on my jap wii. I was just trying to convert my jap wii into english wii and I managed to do it as mentioned. But maybe worth to ask about console area settings cuz there's this red bar saying "WARNING: AREA/SysMenu Mismatch", What are the risks if I force to change console area settings anyway? Fully bricked? explain?

After hours of searching in the forum (which was greatly encouraged by admiral victorinox), I have managed to get homebrew channel and got the IOS 38, 53, and 55 installed.

Problem 1: How do I get cIOS 37 installed. The zip file contained a .dol file and another .elf file. I tried booting the dol file up (changing name to boot) but it says I needed the .wad file. I read I needed some converter but that was not greatly mentioned elsewhere. How do I get this cIOS 37 installed? Searched everywhere did not mention about .elf or .dol the wii is asking for .wad instead! I have read around but non of the methods work...

    please guide thanks...

EDIT: I think I broke my mod. No games seem to be booting. Not even appearing at the top left disc channel. The wii spins the disc and stops halfway... I did not do anything wrong apart from fixing my semi-bricked wii with update, then removed duplicate channel, installed ios 38 53 and 55, then changed my region...?

    dube channel remover
you could brick it doing the wrong one

you need a wad that goes in the root

if you have a modchip, you got to convert the modchip region =P

Hey, I am convinced I did the right one. Everything worked in English apart from not able to boot the disc up. in anyregionchanger there was a warning message but I did not force change that settings. Until I managed to get into internet and install system meny region and made sure there is no red warning bar, only I dared to select Europe etc.

    now my settings are
    language english
    console area setting : europe
    game region setting: europe
    console video mode: ntsc
    country code: 110 (UK)
    EULA: read

    system meny region: Europe

    anything wrong with it?
also, i have made some search with converting modchip region. But i don't understand is it gonna be software method or hardware?

there is no wad file in the zip folder you posted. there is only cIOS37 .dol and .elf......

    Looked at this thread..
    http://www.wiihacks.com/general-home...k-blocker.html

is this the software I need? Cuz I don't think so... it's similar to WUM... just changing the region etc to the ISO and not my modchip...?

and do you know a place I can get cIOS 37 .wad file? cuz i tried looking for it here. no luck..

this is the tutorial I followed. Just to ask if it is the right one. My feeling tells me yes...

Secondly, what software it is to patch my modchip region? tried again looking both google and here, it keeps talking about brick blocker which (i think i'm not sure) is not what i'm looking for...

EDIT: just found out my wad files were Jap/NTSC region but my wii's already europe region. I tried to uninstall those wads, convert them to regionfree, put it back on to wii... in gives me error (ret= -2011)... i wonder why...?
