HDD Isn't Recognized By My Wii

Hello. I have a problem with my wii and HDD.. It won't get recnogized by my wii.
I have this Western Digital My Passport Essential WDPN WDBAAA2500ABK-00 250GB which should work with my wii
and my wii is a red one

This is the tutorial I've been using.

    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html

and this tutorial for my hdd http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ide-fat32.html

I also use wii manager for adding games onto my hdd.

Have I've done something wrong or..? Please anyone that knows how to get it to work?

Sounds like that you've done things right so far.

What are you running to try to access the games on the hard drive?

Also, can you post a syscheck so we can look at your system? Directions on how to generate and post one are in my signature.

You're sysCheck is good. Do you have it plugged into port 0 (the one closest to the edge of the case)? Do you have any other drives (even a thumb drive) that you could test?

Yeah :/ Hmm.. I'm not sure.. but I'll see if I can get another one and try
Could it be that the usb port is broken on my wii? or would it say if it was?

I changed the clustersize to 32 and now when I try to start any usb loader it freezes and my wii remote shuts off.. is this any progress?

it worked with my kingston usb stick! but it's only on 8 gig.. and now when i try the hdd nothing happens again. is there something wrong with it?

It could be a hardware issue, though usually the loader doesn't freeze when that's the case. If you have access to another Wii, you might try the drive(s) with it and see if they work. Are your loaders up to date? If you're not sure, there are links to the latest versions of the 3 popular loaders in llaffer's signature.
