Going To Buy New HDD, Should I Upgrade To 4.3 Or Stay At 4.1?

    Hello all,

I was going to buy a new HDD as the old one I had used a few years ago died a while back. Anyways, I was wondering if I should update my 4.1 Softmodded Wii to 4.3 and then re-mod it? It seems a lot of the drives on the compatibility list mention 4.3 compatibility, but nothing about 4.1 compatibility. Should I assume that if it's compatible with 4.3 it'll be compatible with 4.1, or...? Thanks for any help.

System Menu version has nothing to do with drive compatibility. Compatibility is entirely based upon your cIOS. Furthermore, all that 4.2 and 4.3 added was stuff to block Homebrew, nothing more. Better to stay on 4.1, that's the best version to be on.
