Dios Mios Lite "fatal error apploader size is zero!"

I recently just fixed up my old wii mod with ModMii, and now I can properly install the wad for Dios Mios Lite when I wasn't able to before.

Now that i'm able to run it though, it doesn't seem to be working for me. I navigate to the folder, select my game (Kirby Air Ride) and then it starts loading it. It gets to a screen with "Dios Mios Lite" and a gamecube logo, and then gives me a message saying "fatal error: apploader size is zero!" How can i fix this? I did do some googling before posting, but most of the posts about this error said it was fixed by going from version 2.0 to 2.2. My DML version is 2.2 already, however. My iso seems to be fine, it runs properly in Dolphin and all.

Try updating your loader or reformatting your SD card to be FAT32 with 32kb Clusters (GC games won't play on anything but FAT32 w/32kb cluster devices)

Oh, I think my SD is FAT32 with 64kb Clusters. I'll reformat it to 32kb and see if it works.

I reformatted and tried again. Strangely enough, if I have a Wii game in the disk drive it gives me fatal error, but if I have a GC disc in, it just boots the disk i have in the Wii and not the game i selected?!

Don't put a disc in the drive, it is unnecessary. When you installed Dios Mios Lite which IOS did you use for installing?

Also are you launching your USB loader from the HBC or from a forwarder channel

Also, which USB Loader are you using?

I'm not sure if it's changed, but DML recommends SD card to be 64k cluster formatted. It was only USBs on DM that requires 32k clusters.

Usually the "fatal error ... zero" message is due to you running with an old loader. Which loader and version are you trying to use on this.

The recommended loaders are in my signature.

I believe I used IOS 249 when installing DML.
I'm launching my loader from the HBC and the loader is NeoGamma (R9 beta 56)
I had a disc in the drive because the guide I was using said the Wii would restart if there was no disk in.

What loader would be best for me to try in this situation?

I used this guide to install DML: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ite-guide.html

You're using an old guide. NeoGamma hasn't supported DML in over a year. If you have DML 2.2 or above, you should be using one of the three loaders in my signature (GX r1209, CFG v70r51, or WiiFlow 4.1).

Early DML required a disk be in the drive to work, but that is no longer a requirement.

Oh, ok. Which loader is recommended? I was considering using WiiFlow.

That's a personal preference. You ask three different people, you'll get three different answers.

Try once, see if you can get DML to work, once you do, all should work, then you can choose for yourself which you like the best.

CFG is my loader of choice.

I recommend USB Loader GX (it's up to r1211 now) but it depends on personal preference. So try them all and see which one you like best
