    Neogamma won't launch GC backups!

Well, I looked everywhere for anyone who might have a problem like mine, but I found nothing. So, here's kind of a last resort: asking help here on the Wii Hacks forum.

Anyway, I burned some multi ISO GC backups to play on my Wii (which was softmodded, using mauifrog's "Softmod any Wii" tutorial). However, when I hit "Launch Game on DVD", it says "Reset drive...", then "DVD Err(00000100) offset table", and, at last, "Gamecube error".

Can anyone PLEASE tell me how to fix this? I know it can't be a cMIOS problem because WiiGator's GC Backup Launcher v0.2 works fine.

At the bottom of the screen, it says "NeoGamma R9 b56, d2x56v8final (249)"
Again, I followed mauifrog's guide to softmod my Wii.

It's a white Wii, SM 4.1U, BootMii installed as IOS only (can't install it as Boot2).

The weird thing is that Neogamma works fine to boot Wii games, and that the GC Backup Launcher works pretty well, too.

Anyway, thanks in advance and sorry if I posted in the wrong area or if someone had already posted this issue...

Have the multi game discs been confirmed as working? The only thing i can think of at the moment, is to try using NeoGamma IOS Switcher. d2x56v8final is the IOS that its using, 249 is the slot its in. Try pointing it at another slot. Not alot of people use NeoGamma anymore.

Could be burned wrong (Multi-ISO as you've said, problematic at time with that). Did you (aside from the wiihacks "Softmod ANY Wii" guide) browse other guides here relating to GC stuff?

Edit: just to confirm, you're saying this Wii can read Wii backup media (disc specifically), right? If the answer would be no, then that answer would also apply to GC (as you're obviously using physical media as opposed to USB).

Yes, it plays Wii backups just fine. Also, WiiGator's GC Backup Launcher v0.2 also works with the same multi-ISO GC backups. I have indeed followed other guides. I''ll post them here once I get on my PC.

I just tried your setup. Patched MIOS v10, NeoGamma R9 b56 using d2x56v8final in slot 249. I can confirm that this setup works. Even with multi game discs. I would try putting NeoGamma back on the SD card, maybe even redownload it. Then if that don't work reinstall the cMIOS and/or cIOS. Are you using a forwarder or running it from the Homebrew channel ? I ran it from the Homebrew channel.

I tried both the forwarder AND running it from the Homebrew Channel. The software I used to create the multi-ISO was the MultiGame ISO Creator v3.5.4F+ (I know the later versions are known to be incompatible with NeoGamma, right?) I'll try reinstalling the cMIOS and changing the slot to IOS236.

NeoGamma IOS Switcher will only allow you to select from IOS245-IOS250. I would use the NUS downloader to download a version10 MIOS then install it with Wiigator. I used the same MultiGame ISO Creator as you. Not tried the later versions.

Ah. Got it. Seems Neogamma's internal GC mode won't work on a hardmodded Wii.

OK then, another question: Whenever I try to load a GC Multi-ISO backup through the Disc Channel (modchip), It just says "Drive 20070213 ok!" and goes to a screen with two options: "Boot DVD" or "Credits". Whenever I hit "Boot DVD", the same message appears and I go back to the menu.

Please help me out. I have Priiloader installed, if that matters.

So I'm confused here. First you said it's softmodded. Then you said it's hardmodded. I'm guessing you actually mean BOTH. Because now it appears you're asking about modchip booting/GC backups --- which is not how this started out as, lol

What modchip is installed? You seem to give insufficient information, kind of hard to advise (equivalent to a shot in the dark) yet expecting knowledgeable answers...

Yes, it's both hardmodded AND softmodded. It was already hardmodded when I got it (second-hand).
You see, I asked the guy I got it from and I just recently got to know it was hardmodded. I always thought he had DarkCORP installed or something.

Unfortunately I don't know what modchip it is. If I knew, I'd try to update the firmware already...
