There is no such folder on my SD, should there be?

Different question - I thought that you could run the apps directly from the FAT32 formatted HD without using a separate SD card for that?

This picture is from another thread but this is what happens if i open HBC and click "USB device"

So i reformatted the HDD last night using the regular right click > format method through windows explorer and let it do its thing for about 5 hours. after the HDD was formatted I tried hooking it back to the wii and booting CFG from my SD card, still says "Partition: auto not found!". I extracted the app pack (from chapter 3 of the MauiFrog guide) to the root of the SD card and all the apps work fine and boot from that. I also tried extracting the app pack to the root of a 1GB flash drive and that also worked, so i am ruling out an issue with the USB port.

After trying the previous methods, I reformatted the drive back to FAT32 and extracted the app pack to the root of the HDD. Using only the HDD and no other USB flash drive or SD card, I tried to boot the HBC. HBC loads fine, but does not show any of the applications, only the "bubbles". Pressing one on the controller yields the options menu and clicking on the "USB Device" icon goes to the error screen I posted a link to above.

Where should I go from here? Is the drive just not going to work with this Wii ever again? I am really at a loss because it was working fine a few days ago and now I got nothing.

I just have a brief moment available here (hopefully CJ will check in later), but the bubbles on HBC is because you have no SD card in the Wii.

Couple other things to check: Try changing usb cables (I know it works on your pc, but try it anyways). Also, make sure the hdd is plugged into the outermost usb port on the Wii.

Tried that, no change. I am going to do the softmod over again tomorrow and see what happens. I am thinking something must have gotten corrupted on the wii, maybe one of the wads.
