Gamecube on Wii

Greetings

So i got a problem,today i got my packet with Wii classic controller gamecube compatible.When i open the packet it was original classic control with wii connector at the end.Well i can't return the packet so i sticking with it.I know that it's doesn't support gamecube games but recently i read that now wii can emulate gamecube memory cart,is it similar with controller?
Please give some advice which options do i have?is it possible to play with classic controller gamecube games as in 2013?

No you can't (yet).

So in that case i got 2 worthless controllers :[ oh well still can play VC games.

I would take the "yet" as in perhaps not now, but maybe later (if it's implemented).

It should come. Rudimentary CC support is available in parts of Devolution (though not when playing games). It'll take time, but I'm fairly sure it will be available eventually.
