A little over a year ago I soft modded my wii. It work perfectly. Right now it boots to Configurable usb loader (or whatever it is that loads the games off my hdd attached via usb). I want to change that to boot to the Netflix app. Any idea how to do this?
If you can't autoboot a channel directly, you could try getting the Boot Netflix app from the Homebrew Browser and autobooting to that. I'm not 100% sure that'll work, but it's worth a shot.

Initially, Netflix was a disk you'd have to put in to run, which then could be ripped by a loader and played, but I don't think that method is accteped anymore by the netflix servers and you have to download the channel from the shopping channel.
So you may be just better off having Netflix on your Wii Menu (which would be normal, anyway), and setting Priiloader to boot to Wii Menu. Then it's just two clicks away of the Wii Remote to launch Netflix.
Well this is interesting. I downloaded the BootNetflix app. It does not appear that I change the preloader to boot the program. (I may not have looked hard enough yet). I tried to run it and it said there was an update to netflix. I pushed update and it tried to take me to the wii store. That told me I had to do a system update. I did NOT do the update. Is it ok to do this update? If not, any work around? I modded this wii about year ago and have not updated anything but ht homebrew chanel.
No. Do not do the update that Shop Channel is telling you to do. Instead, go through this guide to manually update the shop channel to v21 and install the new IOSs that are required: http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...annel-v20.html
After that, then you should be able to access shop channel like normal to download the update to Netflix.

When I open priiloader it says I am booting to "installed file" When I look at the section for Installed Files I have one called Boot.dol, homebrew.dol, and CFG.dol. Can I add the bootnetflix to this list? If I add it, how to I make the "installed file" the bootnetflix file?
You should be able to select it from the Load/Install File menu. What version of Priiloader are you running? Maybe I'm forgetting something, I'll look when I get home if you don't figure it out.Quote:
