i have uninstalled and re installed homebrew channel about 6 times now. same as the bootmii. i have printed out this walkthrough including all of the drop boxes and i have gone through with a highlighter as i go through the steps. i am obviously missing something but i cannot for the life of me figure out what it is. i am one attempt away from making a youtube video to demonstrate i am going through line by line and following the instructions as laid out, other then "other desperate options" drop box (which i will look at after this post) i have tried almost everything. if i need to repeat a step of this process can you tell me what to keep repeating? how do i change home brew channel do a different IOS?
Try this (direct quote from the guide, btw):

Thank you very much for all of the help,

But im not kidding when I say " I am following these steps, it is NOT working" do I need to manually delete IOS61? or force something for it to use homebrew channel of a previous version? or maybe I need to do some kind of hard reset? or maybe I have to remove or uninstall HBC or specific IOS's. I have even re downloaded "WiiMod-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0" 3 different times and I have reformatted my SD card and even used different SD cards. no matter how many times I repeat these steps, (now 3 different times top to bottom and 10 times for the HBC/Hackmii step) when I use "sysCheck_2.1.0b19" it keeps saying "Homebrew Channel 1.1.2 running on IOS61"

Also, I cannot uninstall the homebrew channel, if i go through the steps of completely removing and reinstalling the homebrew channel, when i restart the console the homebrew channel is back again.

If you can't see your first one give it a few minutes, it may need to be approved by staff.

These 2 posts were made one after the other within a time period of 1hr and 28min.

Edit: the reason is because your first one I quoted was moderated because it included a link, most likely because your a new member. Please when you make a post allow some time for a staff member to approve it. I have done so as you were simply linking the WiiMod program you used and it is a mediafire link. I've also merged the posts. But again, please allow staff a little time to approve your post if it does not show up instantly

How long do I need to wait inbetween posts? 90 minutes seems to be a reasonable amount of time. I am actively reading as much as I can online and I am reading through forums and information on this site trying to diagnose and repair problems. As I try different things I am posting my results in hopes of getting help from those more informed then myself helping me to diagnose my situation.

if someone would like to email me directly and help me with this problem it might ease the load I am unintentionally applying on this forum REMOVED EMAIL ADDRESS FOR YOUR PROTECTION

It depends on how many or which staff members are online. Typically we ask people to wait 24hrs before making a second post.

If you had read the forum rules as nightstah had referred you to, you would know that if no one has responded to your post within 24 hours you should use the edit button to add to your previous post. That being said, its not a matter of an "unintentional load" you are "applying on this forum". It is about etiquette and respect for the forum you are posting in. So for future reference, please use and show a little bit of those things in your responses and posts from this point forward.

Now on to your problem. Your IOS are a mess. Follow the instructions in the Softmod ANY Wii guide and do the IOS Update. This will fix your IOS. After doing that, post another system check so that we can verify your IOS are squared away. More instructions will follow.

So you're sure that you're installing the two WADs, then reinstalling the HBC from the HackMii Installer that's included in the download? If you are, that certainly isn't something I've ever seen before. Any of the mods got some insight?

EDIT: Could this be because of the title ID change? The older HMI isn't seeing the new ID and thus not overwriting it? Just throwing out ideas.
