Oh my Head! Is it possible to upgrade 3.1-3.2?

    Hi All,

Today i installed twilight hack, homebrew channel. I learnt how to install apps, and even how to install the twilight hack without zelda. I learnt how to install it if i was from the usa, and also i even learnt how to slow my tunes down entirely with acid pro.

However, after so much looking, my head is pounding, and i cannot find how to upgrade my firmware from 3.1-3.2

I first checked Chris Chowns - Ultimate upgrade thread. at http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...ade-guide.html

I used the cios downgrader as recommended in the HBC, yet tho it loaded up it didnt do anything. I read i am to use a game which uses firmware 3.2. Rumours circulate that mario kart is 3.2 but on this forum its told frequently the reality is it uses 3.1

And so, i am lost. A broken man, with 3.1 firmware, in desperate need of 3.2. I was wondering if any kind soul can help me with this?

Incidentaly, i did wonder did the software not work because all i did was instal the twilight hack and HBC? Perhaps i shouldve tried to configure the net connection for HBC? I wonder this as i am able to connect online, and my wii is setup for that as i often do mario kart online, but im sure there has to be someway i can move forward here.

    I appreciate any help.

    I'm really confused here.

    Option 1:
    1. Install the Homebrew Channel
    2. Find the application "AnyRegion Changer"
    3. Get to the 3.2
    4. Profit

    Option 2:
    1. Update to the 3.4
    2. head to the link in my signature titled "downgrade tutorial"
    3. Use the cIOS downgrader to get to the 3.2
    4. Profit

My gratitude comes your way. But this anyregion changer, i checked isnt it just for changing the region and language of your wii?

Wait a minute! I just watched a youtube video regarding this. Seems if i go into the HBC once its installed i can edit the settings there to get it to 3.2 is this correct? My worry is on that very same menu it asks for the shop country code. Ive no idea what this means.. so may i ask are the default settings of your own wii already inputted? Or is it tailored to NTSC consoles?
(I should note here, the video i watched was for ntsc wii).

Many thanks again for your help and time on this, and certainly glad im not the only one confused here!

I was concerned the software was on default and itd be from the usa, and id have to change it and didnt know my shop code. Sure i may be inexperienced on these matters, but having read all these warnings about bricking and the amount of ppl who have done so, it worried me. On further research i found my code, and better yet found when i ran the anyregion it had my wii default settings on. So i guess i overpanicked after all.

I should point out im very grateful for e39's post, and have done option one and it worked a treat. Thanks again e39, and please feel free to close this thread.
