Black Screen when loading Gamecube backups

Hello. I have recently started to play my Wii (launch) again after I found out about how the Wii could be hacked without any mod chips and such. So I soft modded my Wii and I can play Wii games just fine, but I then decided to play a backup of Super Mario Sunshine for the Gamecube using NeoGamma, but every time I try to load the DVD up, the screen either turns black and the Wii freezes or the screen flickers random colors. So how can I go about fixing this problem? (I'm fairly new to all this Wii stuff, but other than that, I'm a hacker myself, PS3 & Xbox 360)

You're better off USB loading anyway, you can use Devolution of Dios Mios to USB load your GC backups, Dios Mios Lite can load them from SD ;)

Is there any way I can load my GC backups directly from the USB or from a disc because I currently only have 1 GB SD card.

Yes, with this Dios Mios Guide or the Devolution Guide in my signature you can load the ISOs directly from USB.
