The Homebrew Channel update Q

Currently I'm using v1.1.0 (IOS58 v24.32) of The Homebrew Channel.

To my understanding there is a new version available (v1.1.2)
I read this new version should pop-up for install, when I'm using the homebrew channel.
This does not happen. I do see the wifi is working and the homebrew channel shows the IP address.

Why is there no update pop-up when I select the homebrew channel? :confused:

STAFF EDIT: For compatibility reasons, we DO NOT recommend anyone install this updated HBC (v1.1.2). There are no benefits to doing this. This version was simply made for WiiU and has nothing to do with the functionality of your Wii console. The recommended version of HBC for a Wii Console is 1.1.0. If you are currently there, you should stay there. If you have a version lower than 1.1.0 we recommend following our Softmod ANY Wii Guide to update your existing mod.

I've experienced this problem in the past as well, it will show eventually. Unfortunately there's no way to force it to show.

Optionally you should be able to get it by running the latest HackMii Installer.

I believe it's not updating because it doesn't provide any benefits for the normal Wii. In fact, because it changes the title ID, it breaks a few things (Priiloader autobooting to the HBC, for example).

Thx gents, I guess it's better to stick with v1.1.0 for now.

I update the Homebrew Channel to 1.1.2 and BootMii 1.5 on one of my Wii because I have boot2 so I could still access the HBC from Bootmii, Priiloader v0.7 works fine except for auto-booting to the HBC, I can still launch the Homebrew Channel through Priiloader v0.7 using the "launch title" option, everything works the same, will not recommend it if you do not have boot2 or until Priiloader update with the new title ID.

I would guess this will be implemented into BootMii 1.6 and Priiloader 0.8 (currently in beta). If I see DacoTaco around anywhere, I'll ask him about it.
