Wii downgraded from 4.3 to 4.1

Hi I succesfully softmodded a 4.3 wii (red) for a friend about a year ago he brought me the week a couple of days a go because it wasnt reading the games correctly, now I opted in reformating using the letterbomb hack with the hack any wii guide and everytime I would try to use the letterbomb it would freeze even do everything was done correctly I went to the settings to see if something was different and noticed that the firmware said 4.1u (weird LOL) I called my friend and he said that he hadn't touched it (I believed him because he is very scared on doing mods etc.) now I dont know how to go about with this since it is already hacked I dont dare give it an update (nintendo) nor give it a bannerbomb hack because it was already hacked with the letterbomb please help

Bannerbomb is your best option. Nothing bad will happen.

Just follow the Soft Mod Any Wii Guide, Link is at the bottom of my signature.
You can use the bannerbomb to re-soft mod the wii, everything will be over written.
Since it's been a year ...it could use an update.
Please follow the guide all the way through.
Read the guide a few times , then proceed.

Letterbomb is for 4.3 wii's.

Cool Thanks for the reply my concern is that it was on the 4.3 firmware how did it go down and the skin on the wii menu looks like the 4.3 version

The way the wii menu screen looks doesn't change with an update.

It most likely got downgraded when the soft mod was done.

Hi Thanks for the help its just that im 100% sure that it was 4.3 after softmoded because I checked it, its just really weird that it would downgrade by itself, if possible I only have 2 quick questions 1- Do I need to update the ios now since im going with bannerbomb and 2- Do I need to make another nand backup since I already made one the time it was hacked and really Thanks I apologize for all the questions its just not my wii therefore im trying to be sure.

No, since you were already on 4.3 you have all the ios's updated.
Yes, always make a new back up, at-least I always do when re-installing everything.(It Won't Hurt.)
