USB Loader GX error thread - Suggestions and Ideas

The first thing I do every time I login to WiiHacks is to check the new posts I have since I last visited. Most of the posts I see are always about some USB Loader GX error like "freezes on Initialize USB device" or "Black screen on rebooting to system menu." So, I have an idea which will help other people fix their USB Loader GX issues easily just by reading the contents of this thread.

Here is a basic framework to this thread: (need help of moderator/administrator to approve this idea).

-1- Person XYZ posts an error here.
-2- Me and other people try to solve his issue and moderator/administrator/me adds the error to the first post of this thread along with the optimal solution.

If person PQR has the same error as XYZ,

-3- He looks at the 1st post of the thread and solves his issue, without the need of making a new post.

If PQR does not have the same error as XYZ,

-4- He makes a new post in this thread.
-5- Step 2 repeated.

How's the idea?

As for the error-posting guidelines a person has to follow while posting an error here, he has to post:

-USB Loader GX version
-IOS USB Loader GX is running on
-Exact symptoms like black-screening, freezing, etc.

Please feel free to add to the above list.

The benefits of having a thread like this is that not only do people have to make a new thread to get help, but having a thread like this also saves forum server space. (Am I right?).

Any error can be posted, including errors with DIOS MIOS, Emulated NAND, etc. Of course, I alone will not be handle all this, but I also need the help of a moderator/administrator.

Please give me your opinions on whether something like this can be done. Sorry for my English, it is not my mother-tongue. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a good idea, I have been seeing a lot of people having problems with USB GX lately. But perhaps to expand on your idea maybe it could be for just USB Loading in general?

But, as I am not using any other loader, I wouldn't be able to help :P

Many features, errors and settings are loader-specific. In most cases the solution to an error for one loader would not be the same for another one. So, I would recommend having different threads for different loaders, but with the same thread structure and the same rules as the GX one.

Of course, the other 2 would be cfg and WiiFlow.

Good point. Plus I guess it would be a bit more organized if it was just for USB GX.

Yeah, you're right, it would be more organized. Thanks for the approval, now waiting for at least 3 more Staff members to approve before putting this plan into action.

I'll see if I can post about it in the staff forum and get some feedback :)
