    Skyward sword update?

Hello, I recently used letterbomb to mod my wii. i installed boot2 i think thats what its called. anway the guide i followed said to get priiloader so i did but it wouldnt install, it just kept freezing so i looked into somethings and first is that it can cause bricks and second is that its not that necessary if you have the boot2 thing, so i just gave up on it.

now to my problem. before i modded my wii i played a little bit of skyward sword and such then my bro took it for a few months. today he brought it back and now i have modded my wii and i put it in and it says i need to update. im running 4.3u i havent done the update for fear of it bricking my wii, before i modded my wii i checked for system updates and none where found why is it telling me to update?

if anyone knows of a fix for this it would be really helpful but its not a super big problem cause i can load it from my usb loader without issue.

to summarize. i played the game before modding my wii just fine but now all the sudden it needs an update. i read some people did it fine it just deleted their custom channels and others said it bricked. so basically is it safe to update, is there a work around to playing from my disc channel?

This update it tells you about is one that adds Shop Channel v21 and IOS62, you can get those yourself separately. Just hold Reset until Priiloader shows up, go to System Menu Hacks and choose "Block Disc Updates", you can then play it via the Disc Channel without updating.

NEVER update from Nintendo, that is a very good way to brick your Wii...besides, like I said, you can get all the new added features yourself with a Wad manger program and a little time on your computer.

If you want to use Shop Channel still you can update it yourself with Multi-Mod Manager.

well theres a few things wrong with that. 1 i installed the latest shop channel update with some guide using MMM and it works great. 2 as stated in my post i do NOT have priiloader because it would not install for me.

Well ok, it's good that you got the latest Shop Channel. But without Priiloader the only thing you could do would be rip the game and play it off a USB drive. I'm not going to recommend updating the system when there is a chance it might cause a brick.
