Problem Loading Wii Games off Hard drive

I have a soft modded wii, I formated a 320 gb toshiba hard drive and copied a buddys hard drive because he had around 30 games using the wbfs manager. After that was done I plugged my harddrive into the bottom port and loaded Configurable USB loader and my games showed up! Scrolled through and hit the one I want, the little sound played and everything but then I hit play it says it's loading but does nothing after that, freezes pretty much and I have to re-boot. I go to Wiiflow and it doesn't even show up that I have games....I plug my buddys hard drive in and everything shows up and plays with no problems on both loaders (Wiiflow didn't show the covers but the other did.) What did I do wrong? I'm not real good with messing with the Wii stuff but I try my best so dumb it down for me as best you can. I have Wad-Manager 1.7, Rev 21 and IOS236 Installer v6 if that means anything. I also still have his hard drive. I would just re format and "Clone" it again but that takes several hours and it still might not work.

FAT32? You have to format first with the WBFS Manager, than you have to copy with wbfs manager.

Well, how much did you pay for the copy right ???

If you backup your purchased (retail) game disc, you should have no problem to play it from usb hard disk. Need less to do Game Settings and unlikely to encounter hardware compatibility issue with a 320gb toshiba which has been wbfs formatted properly.

Well, how much did you pay for the copy right ???.

He owns the games, we are roommates so copy right shouldn't be a problem right???

I'll just re format and do the process over. I'm hoping it will work but If not I wouldn't know what I'm doing wrong :( Thanks for the help

vatever doesn't know what he's talking about. FAT32 formatted drives (32k clusters) is the recommended format type. Use Free Partition Magic alternative. Best Free Partition Manager Freeware for Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8 32 bit & 64 bit - EaseUS Partition Master Home Edition. to format the drive if other formatters are causing problems.

Then re-rip your games using the USB Loader of your choice (usually by pressing "+" and following the prompts) to install the games from disk to the hard drive. Then the game should be playable.
