Hello!
I just managed to get a Wii U and wanted to do my Wii U Transfer.
So I launched the Wii Shop Channel to download the Wii U Transfer Channel and it required an update (as expected).
I then preceded to download the Wii U Transfer Channel wad file. I installed the wad and tried to run the channel but it took me back to the Wii Menu.
Does the channel require the update and if so, will this hurt my softmod?
I'm running 4.3U.
You need IOS62...get it off ModMii or NUS Downloader. It was release with Shop Channel 21 and was unknown what purpose it served till recently.
If I installed Wii Shop Channel V21 and installed it from there would it work?
EDIT: I updated the Wii Shop Channel through the Wii Shop Channel and the download failed.
EDIT 2: After I updated the Wii Shop Channel I installed the Wii U Transfer wad again.
It worked.
How do you update the Shop Channel WITH the Shop Channel? It can only be done via a wad manager or the official (highly unrecommended) "System Update" button found in the settings menu...Quote:
