Wii stopped loading games from usb

I have a wii that I softmodded using the tutorials on this site. All went well and i got it to load games from usb with no issues.
Earlier today I tried loading homebrew browser from a spare sd card and it failed while downloading cover images for the homebrew apps. After that happened I reset my wii and tried to start a game, and no matter the game, no matter which usb thumb drive, it fails to mount the drive.

I've tried formatting the drives again and even though I am doing everything exactly the same with the exact same devices my wii refuses to recognize the drive.
Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to set things right again?

What format are you formatting your Hard Drive to. I still recommend "wbfs". What you could try to do is remove the softmod using the guide in my signature, then re-softmod using the softmod any wii guide also in my signature.

Format the drive to FAT32 with 32kb cluster size, format the SD card to FAT32 as well (cluster size of your choice...I suggest the default) lastly go through the Softmod ANY Wii guide again, it's possible something in your mod could have become corrupt...doing the guide again should solve the issue.
